The best non-toy, cooking gifts for the little master chef or baker in your life.
SUPER FUN COOKING GIFTS FOR YOUR FOODIE BOY
BATMAN EGG HOLDER
Holy Batman, Robin! I love egg cups, I think they’re adorable no matter what the decoration. But a Batman egg, complete with mask??? Come on. I wish my youngest wasn’t allergic to eggs because he would absolutely love this.
MASTER CHEF JR. PIZZA SET
Your Friday Fun theme night will be even better when he can help make his own pizza, or pizzas for the whole family. This set has everything he needs in a small size perfect for little hands! I think this is a great cooking gift for your foodie boy – it’s practical and fun!
CIRCULAR SAW PIZZA CUTTER
If he’s making his own pizza, he needs a really cool cutter! Fair warning: the reviews say it only cuts through thin pizza, and to watch little hands with it. I would still totally get this for my 4 year old and just supervise him while using.
FUN NECESSITIES FOR LITTLE HANDS
NESTING MIXING BOWL & CUPS SET
This is a terrific set for kids and adults because of all the space it saves. It has two bowls, a colander, a fine mesh strainer, and measuring cups that all stack together. I think it would be really convenient for your favorite boy to just go “grab his set” when he wants to make something!
NYLON KNIFE SET
The reviews on this set are amazing, saying kids from 3-10 love it. I’m definitely getting them for my 4-year old! And surprisingly, although they’re nylon, they cut through fruits, veggies, cheese, and even chicken. Which means your little foodie can now help you make dinner or put together some freezer meals!
KIDS ROLLING PIN
Perfect for small hands, a small rolling pin that can be used on pie dough or play doh 😉 I actually use my small rolling pin way more than my large one because it’s less bulky, and I love the adjustable rings!
BAMBOO NON-SKID CUTTING BOARD
The “non-skid” is especially important for safety here, and bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial. Two sizes, that aren’t too big, are perfect for kids. 🙂 Plus, I love the idea of giving him his own cutting board to use!
COOKING CLASS COOKBOOK
There are a lot of kids cookbooks out there, but some of them are just adult recipes re-packaged or decorated for kids. This one is a best seller and looks like the perfect blend of teaching kids how to cook, kitchen safety, and simple yet fun recipes! Get them to help by picking out some recipes to put on your meal planner – I always say, a kid who is involved in planning dinner is a kid who eats better.
SUPER FUN COOKING TOOLS
GAMING APRON
Not surprisingly, there are not a lot of boy’s cooking aprons out there but this one is super cute. My son hand-picked this one as well and he’s already put it on his list!
COLORFUL MEASURING CUPS + SPOON SET
I love that these are metal and not plastic, and that they are fun. They’re quite adorable but I like that they stack to save space, and the spoons are magnetic – no lost measuring spoons in the bottom of the utensil drawer!
Tie these up with the bright nesting bowls for a cute gift basket!
BABYCAKES TRIPLE DELIGHT
Most of the Babycakes makers are one-trick ponies, which is why I never got one. But this one has 3 interchangeable plates – making donuts, cupcakes, or cake pops (mom bonus: easy clean-up!). I know my little guy would love making any of these and I love that it would be a small batch instead of a dozen donuts that are calling my name…
*update: we got this last year for Christmas and he loves it! He can do it himself (he’s 9) and it cleans up nicely. We also got this cookbook to go with it.
Wrap it up with a few boxes of cake mix (or ingredients to make from scratch), cake pop sticks, icing and you’re done 🙂
FUN SHAPES SILICONE CUPCAKE MOLDS
These are great for your little guy to make muffins and cupcakes in fun shapes. He can use them in his play kitchen or in his real kitchen. But honestly, my favorite use for these are as separators in school lunch boxes, drawers, all over the kitchen really.
AND YOU JUST HAVE TO INCLUDE…
LEGO BUTCHER
Ok, ok. I know I said this list was not toys but I couldn’t help myself. I was seriously all done with this list and then I saw this guy, and knew I had to include him! If your foodie boy is also a LEGO lover…well, you know what you have to do.
So there you have it. Over a dozen perfect gifts for the boy who loves to cook!
