Mara is a member of the nine divines, said to be the "goddess of love". Considered to be a universal goddess.In Skyrim, Mara is a handmaiden of Kyne. In the Empire she is the mother-goddess and the female principle that gave birth to creation. She is either married to Akatosh or Lorkhan.She appears in nearly every culture.Mara instructs worshipers under the nine divines to "Live soberly and peacefully. Honor your parents, and preserve the peace and security of home and family".
