Funeral Home MONDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2010 RECORDS MARSHFIELD NEWS-HERALD Maybelle J. Kollmansberger 'Leon' Hoeser also worked as a patrolman for the town of Loyal for a few years, and at the Weyerhauser Door factory. They then bought a home and moved into Loyal. His wife, Florence, died at home on Feb. 8, 2000.

Leon resided at home until his death. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of Fatima Council Leon had many interests, but especially loved spending time with his family, milking cows, horse pulling, playing cards, gardening, picking berries and dancing. He is survived by two sons, Ronald (June) of Loyal and James (Kathie) of Milwaukee; two daughters, Barbara (Gary) Millard of Marshfield and Mary Ellen (Gary) Pradarelli of Scottsdale, six grandchildren, Liz (Wade) Vaughan, Lisa (William) Gratzek, Sara Meyer, Jeff (Carie) Hoeser, Karen (Ryan) Amundson and Beth (Matt) Fredrick; and great-grandchildren Brittany Gratzek, Nicholas and Lindsey Vaughan, Dale and Eric Hoeser, Heather Meyer, Jack Amundson and Lainey Fredrick. Leon was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Florence; one son, Dale; two grandsons, David and Robert Hoeser; three brothers, Otto, Frank and Joe Hoeser; and seven sisters, Rose Schuld, Bertha Breitbach, Mary Breitbach, Anna Dougherty, Katie Hunsel, Sophie Hoser and Tress Wangen.

Anthony's Catholic Church in Loyal. They rented a farm two miles north of Loyal and farmed there until purchasing a farm northeast of Loyal in 1943. She attended Pine Creek Country School in the town of Holway until eighth grade. Maybelle was united in marriage to Ervin Kollmansberger on Jan. 12, 1946, at Saint John's Lutheran Church in Withee. She was a devoted housewife and worked hard on the family farm while Ervin drove truck. Maybelle enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren.

She also enjoyed knitting and bowling. She was noted for her good cooking. Maybelle helped run a youth bowling league in Spencer for a number of years. VFW Post No. 6352 of Stratford will hold memorial services at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Rembs Funeral Home. Lorraine was born on July 14, 1933, in the town of Green Valley, Marathon County, to Frederick and 'Theresa (Jung) Hoefs. She attended McKinley Grade School in Rangeline and later earned her GED in 1976.

Lorraine was united in marriage to Jerome E. Karl on July 18, 1950, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Rozellville. He died on January 13, 1969. Lorraine worked a number of jobs and retired from the St.

Joseph's Hospital laundry department in 1995. She worked seasonally at Figi's and later at the Eagles Club in Marshfield. She worked in the shoe department at Wal-Mart until her stroke in April 2010. Lorraine loved to sew and embroider for her family and friends. On Nov. 12, 1965, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Burnett, Marilyn was united in marriage to Gerald G. Koontz. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and Marilyn was employed at Montgomery Ward and Green Giant while in Beaver Dam and worked at Sears and Marathon Cheese in Medford.

Marilyn cherished the time she could spend with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and gardening. Mrs. Koontz was a member of St Peter Lutheran Church in Dorchester. Marilyn is lovingly survived by her mother, Selma Marohl of Burnett; her children, Sharon (Gary) Schmidt of Burnett, Bob (Tammy) Koontz of Medford, Jim Koontz of Rothschild, (Kelly) Nelson of Denver, Colo.

Roman was born in Fond du Lac Dec. 16, 1922, to Matthew Anton John and Anna Mary (Schmitz) Lauby. He graduated from Marshfield Senior High School. Roman married Betty Mae Riedel Nov. 1, 1945, in the Navy Chapel at Great Lakes, Ill.

They had just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Roman was a WWII Navy Veteran having served aboard the USS LCI 1056 at Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Leyte, and other battles of the Pacific Theater. He worked for Consolidated Papers, Biron Division, for more than 30 years, retiring as assistant superintendent of the pulp mill.
