Is the USF open on Labor Day? ›

Labor Day Holiday: No classes and USF offices closed.

The University of South Florida will be closed in observance of Memorial Day. Campuses will reopen Tuesday, May 28.

In 2022, USF will observe Juneteenth on the day that is designated as a federal holiday.

The acceptance rate at USF is 43.9%.

For every 100 applicants, 44 are admitted. This means the school is moderately selective. The school expects you to meet their requirements for GPA and SAT/ACT scores, but they're more flexible than other schools.

Employers shall also pay 100 percent of the regular pay of workers who will choose to just enjoy the holiday, provided that the employee reports to work or is on leave of absence with pay on the day immediately preceding the regular holiday. Malacañang has declared May 1, Labor Day, as a regular holiday.

As a demonstration of our support for the Black Lives Matter movement as well as our commitment to changes that lead to lasting justice, UCF will observe Friday, June 19, as a holiday in celebration of Juneteenth. Therefore, our offices will be closed for business that day.

University of California President Michael Drake announced today that UC will observe Juneteenth — a day recognizing and celebrating the end of slavery in the United States — as a universitywide holiday.

Juneteenth is also a holiday for NYU's non-medical schools and departments during which offices are closed and no classes are scheduled.
