The objective of the studies is to analyze the relationship between bullying behavior and the academic performance of students. The studies aim to assess the prevalence of bullying and its impact on mental health and academic performance. The research examines the effects of bullying on school performance, learning, and competencies evaluated in different subjects. The studies also investigate the impact of bullying on the performance of Brazilian students, using data from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA). The findings indicate that bullying behavior has a negative and significant effect on the mental health and academic performance of students. Bullying decreases academic performance and affects different competencies evaluated in subjects such as Spanish language, English language, Mathematics, and Geography and History. Physical bullying is found to be harmful to academic performance, while psychological bullying does not negatively impact grades. The studies emphasize the need for identifying groups prone to bullying and developing prevention policies.
