Saucony Guide 10 Reviews | Zappos.com (2024)

I am a runner who runs about 12-15 miles per week. I put over 700 miles on my last old Adidas Boost running shoes and it was time for a new pair. I wanted shoes with a little more stability this time around. I have also been suffering from the dreaded plantar faciitis for six months now. I purchased this shoe because it is highly recommended in the running community for those of us who suffer from plantar faciitis. In that respect, it does not disappoint. Right out of the box, I ran with these shoes and there was no need for a "break in period". No blisters, no foot pain, nothing. After road runs in my previous shoes I had to ice my feet immediately due to the plantar fascia pain. I have not had to use the ice packs immediately after a run since I purchased these shoes. My plantar faciitis is not cured by any means, but these shoes really help me manage it so I can keep running as they heal. I even purchased a second pair to wear as "everyday shoes".In comparison to my previous running shoes (Adidas, New Balance), the foot bed runs 1/2 size smaller so I went up a half size. There is plenty of room in the toe box too. (for reference, I wear a size 9 dress shoe, a 9.5 Adidas running shoe, and a size 10 in the Guide 10) I read a lot of reviews that runners are disappointed with this shoe in comparison to the previous version. I have never tried the Guide 9, so I am not able to provide feedback in that respect. Starting out with only knowing the Guide 10, I am very happy with this shoe. I would definitely recommend these shoes.
