Mainstream Beanie Crochet Pattern (2024)

The Mainstream Crochet Beanie is a free pattern here on CrochetItCreations.com. It comes in 8 sizes, newborn thru adult.

It’ll be your favorite winter hat crochet pattern. It is made with a unique style; body of the crochet beanie in flat rows first. Back loop and front loop technique is used to give the stitches more definition.

After you work the flat rows, close it up to make a circle. Add a brim then close the top. Attach a pom pom to the top to make a fur crochet beanie.

The Mainstream Crochet Beanie uses worsted weight yarn. I used I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby for the crochet hats in the photos. You will also need an I 5.5mm crochet hook. Clover Amour are my favorite hooks. They have amazing glide and an ergonomic handle.

The crochet beanie works up fast and is perfect for your next market prep.
