Oops. I did it again!
No, I am not singing the Britney Spears break through song. Which seems likeone hundred million years ago…
Let’s take a trip back. That song came out in 2000. Which would make me in 6th grade. Whoa. All the way back to middle school.
I went to a catholic school (all the way until college!) where I had the privilege of wearing a uniform. Don’t bash it. It was the best thing since sliced bread. It was especially favored in high school. I never had to worry about what cute new outfitI should where to impress that weeks new crush, or what fancy new jewelry I could show off. Instead, I was lucky enough to choose between a lovely khaki skirt or a navy skirt (I ALWAYS went for the navy. Sorry khaki, you are so 1985.) And for shirt choices…either light blue (oh please) or white. Definitely went for the crisp white.
The only down part (well probably not only), was winter. Oh what a bia that was. Skirt + bare legs = devil.
OH. Then there was this one time that it iced over and we had a massively long and steep driveway and I thought it would be a fantastic ideato walk down it. Well then, I proceeded to slip, fall straight onto my fanny then slide.all.the.way.down.on.my.behind. Holy mother of goodness. That day straight up made me turn on my beloved uniforms forever. We were no longer friends.
So what does all this have to do with Crispy Garlic Fries?
Honestly? Not much besides that song making me take a trip down memory lane.
But seriously. I did it again. I made curly fries again with my spiralizer!
Guys, they are out of this world. They are all thin and crispy. Exactly like the little tidbits that fall to bottom of the fry basket that everyone likes to fight over. Oh yes. Except they are healthy for you.
Say What?!
I baked them! Not going to lie, fryers scare the crap out of me. Too many hours working in kitchens and getting splattered and burned by that darn fryer. Plus, if you know anything about this blog its the fact that I love healthier foods.
But I couldn’t present just plain fries to you. That would be just wrong. So on went garlic. And I mean a lot. These may not be the best recipe to choose if you are cooking for new beau or having a dinner party. BUT they are perfect for a family dinner where everyone already loves each other no matter smelly breath or not.
These fries are shorter on calories, but full of flavor. Garlic fries for the win!

Short list of ingredients I can actually find in the store = SOLD! Will definitely be giving this a try! And you're not the only one with a fear of fryers. My fear of them might be a tad unnatural.

Leslie...thank you for pointing that out! I guess that is what happens when I am writing blog posts and recipes late at night. I am definitely not a night owl! I fixed the recipe though! And funny you said that because we actually did have the leftovers as 'hashbrowns' the next morning! So tasty. So I suggest you have them for breakfast, lunch and dinner! :)

I went to Catholic Schools all the way through high school too! It really was so much easier wearing a uniform all the time. Girls are far to catty in HS! Our shirt choices were white, blue, or yellow. bleh. It was okay, I didn't mind, except for in the winter..it was coooooold. But, still easy to get ready every day!LOVE these fries...curly fries always win out in my book over regular sliced fries...you're convincing me more and more that I need a spiralizer!

Maybe I am reading the recipe wrong but I can't seem to see how you use the garlic with the fries. Do they go on before or after you cook them?
