Lori Lynn Wandling Carpenter 1969 — 2024 LORI LYNN WANDLING CARPENTER, 55, BORN APRIL 13, 1969 DIED OCTOBER 8, 2024 AFTER A COURAGEOUS BATTLE AGAINST CANCER. LORI LOST HER FIGHT AT HOME. SHE'S PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER SISTER, LISA MCCALLISTER; AND HER MATERNAL AND PATERNAL GRANDPARENTS. She was a nurse for many years and enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the beach, music and looking for bargains at yard sales. Nancy was born and raised in Bancroft, WV to the late Hobart and Mary Phalen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers: Edward Phalen and Charles Phalen. She was a graduate of Poca High School and a proud member of the "Poca Dot" band, worked for several years at Union Carbide Corporation Technical Center in South Charleston and spent over 25 years as an executive secretary at Union Boiler Co. in Nitro.
