My husband, Reid, is not a morning person. In fact, it is hard to get him to wake up early for many things but going to brunch at Maple Street Biscuit Company is one place where he will willingly get up early to go to. Maple Street is our favorite brunch spot in Jacksonville, Florida and if you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping by, here’s why!

Fun Fact: Our dog is named Maple, not after the restaurant, but it makes me love it even more, because I think of her and her adorableness the entire time 😊

Although it has expanded to many locations and cities, Maple Street Biscuit Company all started in Jacksonville, Florida in 2012. It has grown to be a staple in the community and all who grace the restaurant fall in love. Maple Street is founded on and guided by their Christian principles and this is reflected in their business and their mission. The goal of the company is to be a positive staple in the community where people can come to make friends, enjoy community and good food, and be uplifted.

As a result, you will find friendly workers and community tables throughout the restaurants.

When you go to order, they don’t ask your name. Each day they have a different question for you and your answer is what they call out when your order is ready.

Last time it was, what is your spirit animal? Reid said a tiger, because of Auburn, but I personally would go with maybe a small jaybird or robin.

Maple Street Biscuit Company Menu

Wow, my mouth is watering just thinking about all of the amazing food at Maple Street. Their menu is extensive, but of course they are known for their biscuits.

The menu offers both breakfast and lunch items, with specialty items offered during different seasons. They make their own coffee in a roasting house in Jacksonville, Florida and you can get it black or a fancy latte. While you are ordering drinks, make sure to get a glass of the fresh-squeezed orange juice, which is to die for.

Now, let’s talk biscuits. The Squawking Goat was featured on the Food Network and includes a biscuit with chicken, goat cheese, and pepper jelly. My personal favorite is The Five, which includes a biscuit, chicken, bacon, and cheese, drenched in gravy.

Our Experience

We love to head to Maple Street Biscuit Company when we are craving comfort breakfast food. Sometimes you just need a biscuit and gravy, right? I love to sit outside in their screened in patio. It is the perfect way to start your day on a relaxing, laid back foot.
