It doesn’t get any quicker or easier than this, yet it’s a spectacular salad–excellent for holiday dinners. The mixtures in tastes and crunchiness puts this salad over the top. Your company will love this. We sure do.

About 20 years ago when we were living in New England someone gave us a gift package of black walnuts in a Christmas basket. Inside that package was a cute little brochure with about 6 extremely delicious recipes from Hammons Pantry, the black walnut distributor.

This was one of those amazing recipes. Melt-In-Your-Mouth Pumpkin Bread is another from that brochure that I use all the time. The Hammons Pantry website has lots of amazing stuff. Check out their website sometime. You’ll be glad you did.

I like this take on Waldorf salad. The cranberries add a really nice zing to it. The only thing I change in the recipe is to stir coconut into the salad as well as sprinkle it on top and increase the cool whip. This recipe only takes about 10 minutes to make.

It’s really quick and easy and presents so beautifully. You should consider adding this great recipe to your regular holiday menu. It’s an amazing side dish and it’s also gluten free and vegan for those with special dietary constrictions.

When I initially posted this recipe in November 2012, I had made it for our family’s Thanksgiving festivities. Unfortunately, it was my first year of blogging and I was using an iPhone 3 for a camera, so my pictures were not as lovely as I would have liked.

I’ve been remaking all the recipes from my first year of blogging due to the poor quality of the pictures. This one came up for remake for our annual Sunday school Christmas party (December 2015). Ambrosia Waldorf Salad has always been a family favorite and my husband was quite happy to clean out the leftovers we brought home from the party. 🙂
